LOOKING AFTER YOUR HAT

Every CAPHEAD hat features a 100% genuine, top-grade leather patch. Our patches are seamlessly bonded to the hat rather than stitched—not as a shortcut, but as a deliberate design choice.

Because we specialize in intricate, custom shapes, standard stitching often clutters the fine details of a logo. We want your brand to take centre stage. To achieve this clean, premium look without sacrificing durability, we spent months perfecting a heavy-duty bonding process.

To protect the leather and maintain that bond, your hat requires a little extra TLC. Please do not use a washing machine, soak the cap, or use harsh chemical cleaners. When it’s time for a refresh, we recommend this gentle, natural cleaning method:

  • Prep the Paste: Mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda with ¼ cup of water to create a paste.

  • Apply: Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, apply the paste to the stained area, gently rubbing in small, circular motions.

  • Let it Sit: Allow the paste to rest on the hat for up to an hour.

  • The Vinegar Spritz: Spray the area lightly with distilled white vinegar and give the stain one more gentle scrub.

  • Rinse & Dry: Rinse the area clean with cold water. Pat the hat dry with a towel, then leave it out to air dry completely.

A Note on Wear & Tear We want your hat to look great for the long haul! However, because everyday wear and tear varies depending on the environment, temperature, and treatment, we cannot cover damage caused by mishandling. While our natural cleaning method is highly recommended, results are not 100% guaranteed. Remember: for the longest lifespan, never submerge or machine wash your hat!
